You can apply a thin layer of dynamat or like product onto metal surfaces prior to installation. However, don't apply material under rails where new acoustical panels will be installed as they may hinder proper fitment.
Yes - you can update your 30 or 40 series John Deere tractor to the newer 55/60 series color scheme. However, there are some part variations depending on your cab serial number so you will need to call to place your order.
We don't cut out the ashtray on our models as some of our customers choose not to use their ashtray. We do leave an opening on the back side of the plastic for you to cut out the ashtray, as well as the optional power shift style cut-out panel. We mark proper locations for this on the back side and both are easy to cut with a box knife, which we provide with our kits. See image below.
