- Kit for improving sound insulation for S-Series combines
- Fits models: S550, S660, S670S, S680, S690
- Includes upgrades for 3 trouble-spots:
- Door: self-adhesive door frame seal blocks noise entering around door
- Floor: pre-cut, self-adhesive rubber mat dampens floorboard vibrations
- Back wall: pre-cut foam fills void in rear wall which limits sound coming through back wall
- Informal, internal testing results:
- Test #1: 2012 S660: decibel readings: Before: 85.7 dB After: 77.5 dB
- Test #2: 2013 S660: decibel readings: Before: 80.3 dB After: 76.2 dB
- Decibels are measured on a logarithmic scale - a small change in dB results in a large change in sound levels
- Every 3dB decrease means sound energy is cut in half
